This caught my eye today when I was visiting and chatting on the net with Bob of Elliot Bay Bikes in Seattle. This is an eye riveting restoration. I love the fork crown. Below is the link to the story. The question is where and when do ride this thing. To the Moulin Rouge?

I'd ride that. That's very cool!
ReplyDeleteAm I to understand that you purchased this frame?
ReplyDeleteThat'd be like riding a pimped out pink 1974 Eldorado convertible with zebra upholstery. Oh yeah...
ReplyDeleteI have been biting my tongue all day. As you did not actually purchase this, I can not contain myself any longer. I always thought Hetchins made the ugliest bicycles in the world. I was wrong.
ReplyDeleteThe blog pink is a good color. Think pigeon blood for the link font and green or gray for the blog title. I'll crawl back under the rock now.
ReplyDeleteJeez Marge your in a mood. I'll work on the blog this weekend. I am in experimental mode. As for the frame.. Think Mardi Gras! This is a party bike. You know for those Parade rides we like to do.
ReplyDeleteThe gold headset is "la piece de resistance!"
ReplyDeleteBob Freeman wrote to me, he is the owner. The entire gruppo for the frame is Gold. I guess you could say it is the Marie Antoinette of frames.... Let the them eat cake. Or Barin you could stay with your Eldorado theme and say that it is a perfect Palm Springs bike. Can't wait for the Rat pack to show up for Cocktails.
ReplyDeleteIf it is a parade bike, definitely need a leopard or zebra print leather saddle . Maybe a gold plated wheelset with umpteen spokes.
